Description Harald Koester 2012-04-12 06:58:30 UTC
Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Start LO and open a new text document.
(2) Check option "Load/Save > General > Edit document properties before saving".
(3) Insert some text.
(4) "Save" document. Dialog "Save as" is opened. Choose directory and file name. Then "Save".
(5) The properties dialog is opened. Then "Cancel". The file is saved !!

Expected behaviour: No file saving at step (5).

Behaviour also observed with spreadsheet.

Behaviour also observed in version 3.4.6.

This works as designed. The option just triggers the dialog to come up and allows users the OPTION of editing the properties. What the option is not intended to do is force users to edit document properties before saving. It's basically saying "hey, here is the dialog, update it if you want".

Closing as NOTABUG. Thanks for contributing for LibO :)

Joel's description seems very plausible.
