Description beinvieh 2023-08-04 11:31:10 UTC
Description:
The link to external links via the menu table, external link, is no longer functioning.
I can edit existing links through the menu, change links to external data, but I am unable to create new links to new tables.
If I copy an existing link from a functioning table and try to create it in a new table, it still doesn't work. It only works in the existing table that I created with an older version of LibreOffice.
It doesn't work in either version 7.4.7 or version 7.5.5.2. I don't remember which version I used before, but it was not more than 4-6 months old

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new table
2.insert an external link, in my case 'https://www.ariva.de/fortescue_metals_group-aktie/kurse/historische-kurse'
3.After that, there is no selection of areas, in my case, HTML_1-5." But in an existing Table it wirks to change from HTML_1 to 2.

Actual Results:
It should show the different HTML areas for selection

Expected Results:
nothing

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Reproducible, even copying the address link from the attached file that works, doesn't work adding as new from External links. It works in Excel also, even takes a lot of time to get it.

Issue still exists on version 7.6.4.1. I tried to download the website to my Download-folder and did the external link from there via file:///.... , which worked, but was a roundabout.
Since old external links via web are working and only creating of new ones (and changing old ones) via web are failing, something must block this creating procedure.

Still exists in 24.2.2

Expected behaviour:
1. Sheet>"External Links..." (new menu label in 24.2)
2. Paste URL and hit Enter.
3. After a while, the list of source tables should be filled.

What happens:
After hitting the Enter key, nothing happens.

Suggestions:
1. Make the Enter key work again.
2. For the mouse aficionados, add a [Scan] button with same functionality.
