Screenshot of the presets in MS PowerPoint

MS PowerPoint offers a set of image formatting presets (see attached screenshot) which are very handy to quickly format images and make the slide look more polished.

Most of these effects can be achieved in LO Impress, but without the presets it is a huge effort to format images in Impress as in the screenshot.

The interesting part is that LO Impress can deal with most of these formats, since PPTX import works quite nicely, with exception of image shadows that are not imported (this is an topic for a different ticket). But in summary, if Impress can import these formats, this means that it can also create these formats as well.

So I believe we should also offer a list of presets so that users can achieve good-looking image formats without all the work that is currently needed.

PPTX file used in the screenshots

This is the PPTX file shown in the screenshot. Open it in Impress and PowerPoint to notice that most of the formats are imported correctly.

So why not make it easier for users to apply these formats as well?

In MS Office in English, they are called "picture styles". This was requested suite-wide in bug 59906, so marking as duplicate.
Thanks Rafael!
