Created attachment 180301 [details] Example and comments of "Line of Text" alignment Open attached document. It contains an example and a description of the problem. In short: The vertical alignment of images with following settings in the UI produces invalid ODF: Anchor "to character" Vertical position "From bottom" by "5mm" to "Line of Text". An additional problem is, that Word interprets the "by" value different from LibreOffice. Further problems will follow in a separate bug report.
Problems with the sign of the offset are addressed too in bug 127071.
I confirm it with Version: 7.3.4.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 13668373362b52f6e3ebcaaecb031bd59a3ac66b CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Problem is clear, but what could be the solution, Regina?
> Problem is clear, but what could be the solution, Regina? I have created an issue to get this setting included into the next version of ODF. https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-4128. But there has not been a call of the ODF TC so far. If the ODF TC agrees, I would do nothing. If it disagrees, we need to put this kind of positioning into our own namespace. I have no idea how to solve bug 127071 (= wrong sign). But that should be discussed there anyway and not here.
