I confirm:

Result with record changes: Text isn't highlighted after step 5

Result without record changes: Text is highlighted yellow after step 5

Expected result:
Same behaviour

=> NEW, because it's clearyl a bug

cc: Design-Team, because I can't assess which result should be the correct one (i would prefer solution, that text isn't highlighted, if you start typing again)

Cannot confirm. When I delete "hind" and type "hind" after step #3, the yellow background comes back.

In general, the direct formatting should be continued. I'm a bit split whether deleting the formatted part should keep the DF after the last unformatted character. Applying DF when nothing is selected, eg after typing BE, wont be used for HIND. But without TC it works exactly like this, deleting HIND and retyping it keeps the DF. However, deleting one letter more will remove the DF. And this wont happen with TC enabled.

In a nutshell: a) do the same with / without TC, and b) continue DF when active.

I noticed that the highlight is still there, but starts a space after. If you type in a space after "be", the yellow background text will show up for any text you add. For example, "be hind" will highlight " hind". The highlight is removed if you remove the space in between, or in others words, if you go back to this: "behind".
