Description Thomas Lendo 2022-02-28 12:20:47 UTC
Some fonts show a fallback(?) of the German capital letter ẞ instead of the right font letter.

If the font is too old or not available then it should be used SS instead of ẞ.

I tested with

Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: aafd4c8431aa511511375ff39f87a7f8bde726e0
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: de-AT (de_AT); UI: de-DE

and with Microsoft Office Word 2016 where all of the fonts were correctly displayed. Therefore I think that't not an issue of the fonts itself but with the program.

I will attach a test file with text in Futura Lt, Lucida Handwriting, Roboto, Algerian, Bauhaus 93, Monotxt, Liberation Serif (seems ok).

Hello, thank you for reporting the bug.

Currently testing it on Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Writer, and I don't quite understand what you mean by ẞ being SS. Could you provide a screenshot of the proper outcome? In all three, it shows the attached file as ẞ, just like the image you provided.
