Created attachment 116280 [details] impress new menu bar Similar to the work being done for Writer (bug 91781), i've also worked on reorganizing the menu bar in Impress. The most noticeable change is the addition of a new menu bar item called 'Slide' which contains all slide management options which were scattered all through the menus. Look forward to the feedback and for you to test drive it soon.

I like the Slide menu, looking forward its counterpart for Writer. :-) But shouldn't the Show Slide stuff go into this menu? First and Current at first level the others one down.

Slide is focused on slide management and assume additional entries will likely go into the menu like for slide navigation - Next Slide (page down), Previous Slide (page up), First Slide, Last Slide. Slide Show is focused on the presentation part and may likely also expand in the future.

Hi Sophie, Do you mean activating Master mode. If so, it was moved from View > Master > Slide Master to View > Slide Master.
Hi Jay, thanks found it, however it's not a View function (it has always been at a wrong place), either an Edit one or a Slide one. It would be more logical to have it with New Master and Delete Master. Also, what about moving the Display functions from the Slide menu to the View menu? Will go on after some thoughts :)

Hi Sophie, In other apps (writer, calc), there is only one type of document that can be modified, while in impress/draw we have two types of documents that can be modified - page/slide and master page/slide. So is changing between modifying a slide and modifying a master slide a change of view? I think so, as the view of what is available in the document area has changed.
