Description Gerry 2013-02-18 16:56:41 UTC
Please add the possibility to embed fonts into the .odp file format of Impress.

For presentations, embedded fonts are of particular importance, because very often the computer where the speaker presents his slide show is not the same computer where it was created. For example, in conferences, it is usually not allowed to use the own computer for the presentation. Currently, there is often only the solution to export the slideshow to PDF and present it in a PDF reader. Please add the possibility to embed the fonts into the ODP file.

This bug is a follow-up bug to bug 42195 which already completed this feature of embedding fonts in Writer files .odt.

I don't know it works but I saw this commit passing by today: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=eb451cbc1aa2f96b1a913d85823ef27275ad367b

@Radek: is this fixed by this commit? Duplicate?

Kind regards,
Joren

Thanks a lot. Will this be in version 4.1?

I added it to the release notes for 4.: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.1

Yes, master commits are always part of the next releases.

The implementation does not work (at least not on v4.2.0.4 on Mac OS X). See also bug #74890
